We continuously seek to purchase fish from well-managed fishing boats who have the same values as we do. We endeavour to provide full food traceability, working with local producers wherever possible, offering customers a menu that is prepared carefully, flavoursome and healthy.

From Foodie to Business Owner

Meet Charles Street Takeaway’s new owner Asha Diack, a Hawke’s Bay local and a young entrepreneur. Asha is no stranger to the hard work and determination needed for hospitality. She’s also picked up a thing or two from her well-known grandfather, Basil Diack who is a life member of the Hawke’s Bay Hospitality Association and has 60 years’ experience in the industry. Mix that hard work with a heap of business savvy, a touch of perfectionism and her passion for food and that’s a recipe for success.

At Charles Street Takeaway we’re ‘local as’ . We’ve been a part of the community as Westshore Fish Cafe for over 40 years, and our new name, will be a part of the community for years to come.
